Meso Speed
Meso Speed does not collect, store, or share any of your personal data. Your speed, location, and trips stay on your device. We have no servers, no accounts, no analytics, and no ads.
What the app accesses
Location (GPS) — Used to calculate your speed, heading, and altitude. Processed entirely on your device. Never transmitted to any server. Background location is only active during trip recording and stops when the trip ends.
Motion (Barometer) — Used to measure elevation changes during trips. Stays on your device.
Network (Speed Limits) — Queries the OpenStreetMap Overpass API for speed limits. These requests contain only approximate coordinates with no personal identifiers.
Trip Data — Stored locally using Apple's SwiftData. Never uploaded unless you explicitly export a GPX file or share a trip card.
What the app does not do
- No accounts or sign-in
- No analytics or tracking
- No advertising
- No data collection or selling
- No cloud storage or servers
- No third-party SDKs beyond Apple frameworks and OpenStreetMap
Data deletion
Deleting the app removes all data. You can also delete individual trip records from within the app.
